10/23/16 Last week hunter Gary S. lost his truck while hunting north of Ellensburg, WA. (Truck got stuck, darkness coming on, Gary hiked out to county road). Went back the next day to find it, but alas, after three days of searching on the ground, the truck couldn’t be located. His wife contacted Westwind and arranged for a plane to search by air. Allan Willis (experienced in mountain flying and reconnaissance) went and picked up Gary and his wife Michelle at the Bremerton Airport and they flew to Ellensburg, where in a short time the vehicle was spotted from the air. A happy result and Gary & Michelle really enjoyed their “venture in the air”.

There will be classroom instruction and instruction in an airplane (can be yours or ours). Fall is an excellent time to visit the San Juan Islands. The crowds are gone, there are some very nice days and the whales can still be seen. (As well as other creatures). If you are in the islands, come out and take a flight seeing trip around the islands or, if its a really nice day, take our tour of the Mt Baker wilderness area, it is spectacular!
